"This is a 12th century style dress called a "bliaut". It's made from the midweight IL019 linen in Black and Bleached. The embroidery on the yoke was done with pearl cotton, accented with jet beads"

Since someone asked me, this dress is made of 28 pieces, including the decorated yoke and the sleeve linings. There are actually 18 gores in there, to make the skirt flare the way I wanted while maintaining equal black and white sections at the hem.
