GARY'S COMMENTS
I think the top is nice BUT I truly cannot believe it won out over the gorgeous structured, detailed, and highly embroidered items that must have taken hundreds of hours to design, create, and sew. I think a "competition" is only fair if judged by a panel
Leslie - the competition was called I Love Linen and not a competition of sewing skill. There also was an award done by panel as one by popular vote and my base of customers came out and voted. End of story
Love this tunic! I'm curious, is that two different colors or just how the different weights take dye. Thanks, Brighe
Thank You Bridget, we are happy you like this creation. The tunic is a combination of mid-weight linen and the mid-weight linen mesh. The Cadet, Asphalt, Bing, Black and Flax all have the two fabrics to use the mesh as tonal accents. Again Thanks Gary
This piece is clever! Unique and beautiful. Is it possible to make a tutorial on how this stamping, fabric painting is done? with a list of ink and other products used?
I agree..a tutorial on stamping and painting on cloth would be great fun! Younghi
Gary - I followed your MaxEquations.com website, but it is no longer good. Where do you sell patterns now?
Rose, Yes we did win & yes we have a large base of ladies who love our work. I respect the talent of all my competitors & believe the last contest with 3 categories worked better. There are many doing fine work with linen who dont sew Reenactment.
