Beautiful - I love how you incorporated the other linen….great way to figure out how to make a cover without odd seams since it's not wide enough. Very inspiring!!
Thank you for the nice compliments! To answer Linda, this is not embroidered - the flower strips are printed linen - I used them to add some interest, and as Candy noticed, it hides the seams since the fabric isn't wide enough to make it in one piece.
This is simple and whimsical yet tasteful and elegant at once. Who doesn't love a duvet? This one, with it's creamy background and floral accents panels is a dream. The quality of the workmanship is evident from the lay of the piece. Just beautiful.
I always zig-zag the ends of my linen and pre-wash before cutting and sewing. It's easier to cut and sew before washing, but then shrinkage is a crapshoot. I figured this out on graph paper calculating the shrinkage % fabrics-store posted on their website
I like to re-think new ways to make things we use every day. These napkins add the fun of printed cotton to the tried and true linen fabric that has been the standard for quality napkins.
This is beautiful. Did you do all that embroidery? Absolutely lovely.
