MARIA'S COMMENTS
Vickie, you should absolutely try it, it makes linen behave almost like a knit - it becomes flexible, delicately hugs the body and flows like a dream! All of my latest projects are cut on the bias, I love it so much.
The only downside to bias - you can't use applique or decorative seaming, it distorts the fabric, stops it from flowing. It must be simple. This is why here I used fringe to decorate the neckline - detail and texture, but fabric is free to stretch.
All I can say is: Bravo! I've been so disenchanted with sewing for myself that I haven't for years. This bias angle (pun intended) may be just the thing for me. I'm sure I can find a pattern to adapt. Good job, Maria.
Your shirts cut on the bias are genius! On of my favorite linen shirts (purchased on sale at TJMaxx) is cut on the bias. It is so comfortable. Been pondering how to cut one on the bias to sew! You made this project SO much easier! Thank you!
Maria, I love your fresh and flowing design! Question re: number 3 in your instructions: "Connect the sleeves with hemline with flaring line" Is this from underarm to cuff and underarm to hem? How many yards of fabric did you use?
So impressed with your clothing! The bias is genius, really want to try it with your how-to. Agree pictures would help as I am a beginner. If you read this, my address is janbencol at AOL dot com. Thanks for sharing!

Awesome! Great way to finish the seams. Do you think this way to finish seams would work on a quilt?
This is wonderful! Your chose of color is awesome and I love the cut. I make many simple tops with your technique, but never on the bias, will definitely try this!
