"Original rice paper panels in our old shoji screen had shrunk & come off. Replaced it with IL030 linen, parchment. Embroidered simple design on the panels for texture & to keep the grain line, then mounted it using glue. We like the simple elegance."

Great idea! I have shoji screens too (Okinawa), and sometimes it's been difficult to find the right sort of rice paper to replace the old. This would be light enough, very pretty, and much longer lasting "fix" for them. I take it you gave them a handkerch
