"Raynham Hall Museum in Oyster Bay asked me to re-create an 18th century slave attic bedroom. Linen was used to make two large mattresses, a curtain, a petticoat and as a part of a rag doll. Other objects are a wooden chest made by me and antiques."

As someone who lives in an antique house (circa 1790), I love the simplicity of the design. I hope some slave quarters were as nice as this, though I've never seen any.
